Mobile Phone and iPad Repairs

Each of our stores has a technician on site, ready to repair your mobile device on the spot. We also have a national service centre to assess devices and perform additional services. Depending on the issue and the device, on the spot repairs could take up to an hour. Our technicians will be able to provide an estimate on how long it will take. More complex issues or servicing which requires heavy soldering may need to be sent to our National Service Centre which could take up to ten business days.

We only use our own sourced quality parts which have undergone strict and thorough testing to ensure your device continues to perform to its usual standards.

All Repairs to devices and service work are offered with a Lifetime Guarantee.
No warranty, either direct or implied, is offered on any service or repair work carried out on water damaged devices or any component or functionality that is not directly related to the work carried out.
Warranty claims for service work cover the parts and labour provided in that service and do not cover any other component or item not included on the receipt of payment. We may need to send the item to our service centre in the event of a warranty claim and if you decline we may be unable to resolve the issue.

Warranty on service work is immediately void if:

    • The item has been physically damaged (either accidentally or otherwise)
    • The item has been liquid damaged prior to or post repair
    • A third party has attempted to repair the device (including an attempt by the customer to repair the device)

Terms and Conditions of Repair and Service Work

By accepting our offer to repair your mobile device you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions of service. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

All Service work and repairs are provided with the Dr Boom Lifetime Guarantee for parts used and workmanship from the date of collecting your repaired device and agreeing that the repairs have been completed to your satisfaction and for as long as you are the owner of the device and the SIM card and IMEl are registered to you. For more information about your Lifetime Guarantee please go to or see in store for details; By paying for and accepting return of your mobile device you acknowledge that the device has been received in a fully functional and acceptable condition.

Where there is any uncertainty, conflict, or disagreement regarding your repair you agree that Dr Boom Communications will at their absolute discretion reinstate your phone to a condition equal or as reasonably practicable to that at time of receipt by us and refund your payment in full. Such reinstatement may include the removal of any item or component installed by us and the replacement of your originally included item/s or one/s of equal to or similar condition; Under such circumstances you agree that you will have no further claims against Dr Boom Communications its agents, franchisees, or associated entities.

Any warranty provided does not cover accidental or wilful damage, misuse, negligence, liquid ingress or failure to comply with the manufacturer’s instructions; All warranties commence from the date of this receipt and must be accompanied by this receipt or an equivalent proof of purchase such as a bank or credit card statement at time of claim. No warranty claims can be actioned without a proof of purchase. All warranty claims once approved, the consumer will bear no cost including any freight or postage costs.

Service work, repairs and component parts are not warranted in the event of liquid damage or if the device has been liquid damaged previously. Any warranties offered on service work or component parts are immediately void if the device or item has been in any way tampered with by third parties. No warranty, either direct or implied, is offered on any service or repair work carried out on any component or device functionality that is not directly related to the work carried out. No responsibility for data loss or integrity is accepted by Dr Boom Communications or our Agents on any device. All parties accept that where a device was inoperative or not fully functional at time of receipt it is impossible for all faults to be fully diagnosed and we: – reserve our right to withdraw our offer to repair and / or. to provide you with an amended price for work required and / or to undertake the agreed repair which once complete may not necessarily restore full functionality to your device.

  • All parties acknowledge that no work will be carried out or costs incurred on your behalf without your express approval to do so and without having the final cost confirmed to you in writing.
  • Full and final payment must be received prior to your device being released.
  • Upon completion of your repair, we will contact you using the details provided on this receipt and make arrangements for you to collect your device. We will make three attempts to contact you and will record these. In the event that you fail to collect your device within 30 days of our final attempt requesting you to do so, your device will be disposed of at our absolute discretion unless alternative collection arrangements are agreed to by us in writing.
  • Our stores may not be authorised to approve a warranty claim and may need to refer claims to management which requires customer contact details to be provided.

We reserve our right to use parts that are either supplied directly by the manufacturer of your device or an equivalent original equipment standard at our absolute discretion and subject to availability. Any trademarks or brands remain the property of their respective owners and Dr Boom Communications makes no representations in this regard.
